Norc M4/ CQ 5.56 Scope Choice

Everyone should take a look at matchstickglobal dot com it's like a dirt cheap ninja fast shipping candy store for optics and other stuff. I love that place... where else can you find an EOtech for 53 USD! The only thing I'm not sure of is if they are 'real'... I ordered a Tasco scope from them and it was here in a week, and so far is perfect in every way!

If its too good to be true....

I ordered a ACOG clone from them and it was a P.O.S. Could not adjust the windage. I emailed them about it and got no reply, I ended up chucking it in the garbage and was out 100.00 US$

Don't waste your money....

Wow, no windage, really? WTF, is that only on their "deluxe" version?

I'm probably just gonna shoot my M4 iron sights till I can afford to be something semi-decent on it.

Good discussion guys. I was out at the range for the first time with my M4 and found that I was shooting severely low at 25 yards. Had to adjust the heck out of the rear sight to get on paper. I agree about the offset problem. That explains a lot. Left to right was just fine right out of the box.

I'm thinking of this Millett DMS-1.
Not mine in the pic but it's how it looks.

The scope I've got is the Millett DMS and I'm using the Armalite one piece mount (for now), it's inexpensive and I think probably the lowest you should go, even on a range use only rifle. Spend less than the price of the Millett and I doubt you'll get anything useable, in fact spend the price of a Millett somewhere else and I doubt you'll get a functioning scope. I was very surprised at the value this scope offers (I'm generally not a fan of cheaper scopes).

I'm the type of guy who puts Leupold Mark LRT's on Savage or a Stevens so here goes.

Mine has a ACOG TA31F, works fine but I feel like i'm back in the CF with the Elcan doing CQB stuff. (Good for NRA shooting stuff)

Iron sights, get a National Match sight set from Brownells or wherever & you'd (Jude) be good for all 3 applications. (OK)

If $$ is not an object, like Westicle said, get a Schmidt & Bender/NightForce or Leupold MRT in the 1-4x zone. (Oh yeah..)

However if you want to try new stuff, get the new Aimpoint 2X red dot or an Eotech...For the price you'll pay for a Bushnell Halo sight, get a good one like the above mentioned. (f**k yeah!!)

Airborn approves this message

You guys are joking about puting on cheap, not to spec ACOG's and EOtechs? I think a cheap chinese rifle sporting a $1.5K ACOG is rediculous. Better stick to the knock off $100 ACOG's for the $600 knock off AR's.

How come... please elaborate, I want to hear this....
