Norc M4 flash hider New version?

Hello Norc M4 owners,

I've finally joined the Ar15 crowd. Just got the M4 today.

I remember reading somewhere that said the Norinco M4 flash hider is of the bird cage design, which is opened in all directions.

I have one here that's close at the bottom. Just wondering if that's the newer version.

Gonna go out over the weekend and test this bad boy out.

The fit and finish is rough, the trigger on mine is surprisingly decent, but machining marks are evident everywhere, exterior finish seems to be not as good as the Norc's Sig copies...

Looks like a reasonably close copy of an A2 to me.

You have the A2 copy. Bottom is closed to act as compensator helping keep muzzle down, while gas is ejected up and to the sides, also by closing the bottom it helps to keep dust from being lifted into shooters sight picture or eyes while prone.
