See picture below of my two 2011 norc shorty operating rods. Less than 250 apart in terms of serial number. Notice that one has a milled notch and the other doesn't. Which one of these is more like the original M14? Do most M305's have the version with the milled notch, or without? Is it purely asthetic, or is there a purpose for the notch?
That notch for the connector rod sure gives you the "cool factor".
