norc stoped after 2 rounds

not as bad as it sounds my buddy and i were at the range today, its his norc m4, any hooo we step up to the line to shoot i take 2 shots, he takes 2 i take 2... i look over and hes like dude its stoped... when he put the bolt back in after cleaning he put the firing pin retaining pin in on the right instead of the left so under recoil the pin came out a tick and flattened out aginst the bolt and reciever jamming the bolt half open. i got it apart but now the retaining pin is toast anyone got a spare or where to find one.

cheap way is to use a same size cotter pin cut to length.

his norc is awsome its run alot of ammo and shoots great it was HIS fault not the rifle at all, just a mistake... im not an AR guy myself but if anyone asked me what ar type to buy it would be a norc.

I ordered a bunch of spare parts for my AR (springs,pins, etc) just for situations like this. I got mine from a site sponsor, ArmsEast.

I just looked at my Colt and it would require a hammer to get the carrier in the reciever with that pin hanging out the side.

Funny how guys hack on the Norinco M4, yet there is ALWAYS someone looking for a complete Norinco upper in the EE... I guess they are "okay" with the Norinco upper, so long as they can hide it's origin by putting it on a "classier" lower...

Like others have said, this malfunction is completely & innocently OPERATOR induced error!!!
