Where do you guys get your versamax Nordic extension tubes in Canada ? Tryed S&J but the spring supplied with it is too weak, sometimes the last shell won't feed and hangs on the lifter because the spring does not have have enough force. S&J really have crappy customer service, it took them a month to ship me 2 springs to try out and one of them was the same one that shipped with the extension.

Ordered mine with Cactus tactical. My q is about your versa max. Do you have dents in the original magazine tube?

I just drilled out the dents on mine.

Isn't a versamax a semi auto, making a mag extension pointless and possibly illegal? Or am i missing something here?
Versamaxes with 3.5" Chambers can legally hold 5.99 rounds (not 6!) of 3.5" 12 gauge Ammo in their magazine. This requires a tube extension.

Coincidentally, 5.99 rounds (not 6!) of 3.5" 12 Gauge = 7 rounds of 2 3/4" 12 Gauge, and the current interpretation out of Ottawa is that this is legal.

Disclaimer: I'm no lawyer, check it out for sure yourself, but that's what I understand as of today, July 19th, 2015.

Op, if just looking for the mag spring, Brownells sells Nordic springs, and you can Wolff springs too

6$ for the spring but 35$ for shipping from brownells ...lol my +3 I had to plug it because I was able to put 5x 3.5" shells and 1x 2-3/4.

I will try do deal with Paul at S&J first , they never answer the phone .

but could you put 6x 3.5".... if the answer is no then your legal....

I prefer to play on the safe side, you have more then 5 3.5" in the tube , that's how I see it, anyways to get 8 2-3/4"shells in the tube you can put 6 3.5" making it illegal. If you lock it a 5,5x 3.5" you can put 7 x 2-3/4 " but cannot squeeze a 2-3/4" after 5 3,5"

there is no "safe side".... the legal question is can you get 6 rounds of the biggest size that the gun is made..... so plug it at 5.9 rounds of 3.5" and you can legally load 7 rounds of 2 3/4

remington 870 extensions are the same thread pattern and fit perfectly, just an inside 3 gun nation secret. yep 7 plus 1 plus 1 plus 1 is ok with all versamax models as they are all 3.5 imch receivers. So get the 2 shot remington 870 extension for Canada and the 10 shot for the US if you play down there.

Agreed.

People need to stop reading between the lines. The law says the mag/tube can't fit more than 5. You can then put 5.99 3.5" and run as many 2.75 this will fit. End of discussion and 100% legal.

I plan on doing the same with my Beretta 1301 comp. The same tube will fit my Supernova. Now if only I can find one in Canada...

Ill be ordering from the states soon.

The thread is the same pattern, true, but an 870 extension does not fit properly and leaves exposed thread inside the tube, unless you mod the fore-end or the "nut" on the extension to fit up.

I've got this extension and it's working well without this problem. Maybe it's reasonable they sent our the "same" one again, maybe try it? Got a faulty one initially?
I guess the only other thing I can think of is the follower is getting snagged on something, maybe some debris in the mag tube? Did you plug it with something while drilling or dremeling out the detents?
Maybe a faulty follower with some kind of rough edge... You removed the original for sure and only have the new one in there?
I'm guessing you thought of all this, but I'm just not sure a weak spring is your problem from your description.

Disagree. The Versamax Tactical is marked on it as 3" and on the RCMP's gun registry it shows up as a 3" gun.

Nothing wrong with that.

$35.00 for shipping? maybe you opted for the " express" or 2-3 days shipping. look for the standard shipping better still talk with the sales rep, they can look for the cheapest way to do it, $ 15.00 would be the max the way I looked at it.

keep on dreaming, the versamax tactical is made on a 3.5" receiver.... the barrel is actually chambered for 3.5" shells.... the cfo's office says that if the receiver is 3.5" and the gun can fit 3.5" barrels then the magazine can be made to fit 5.99 3.5" shells.

any versamax barrel will fit on the receiver of the versamax tactical.... end of story.
