Nordic Kit Questions

I have a 10/22 with a nordic kit I bought off a friend. It has a less than stellar quad rail, which is missing the anti-rotation ring and looks kinda crappy. On the pistol grip, there is a piece of rubber missing which fills in between the stock trigger guard and the pistol grip and it also looks like crap.

Does the Nordic kit take any free float AR rails? Or not knowing who makes the quad rail, and not knowing much about AR parts, can I just buy an anti-rotation ring and have it fit my particular rifle? Or are they specific to the particular quad rail?

I was thinking something like this...

And if I buy a new pistol grip, does the necessary rubber piece come with it to fill in the gap?

Here's a pic of the rifle so you can see what I mean...

One more thing, for adding a collapsible stock, do I need a (sorry if the terminology is incorrect) buffer tube? And if so, do they usually come with the stock? Or are they extra?

Thanks in advance...

Yes, but you don't want to free float the 10/22 barrel
if it's mounted in a stock receiver.
It needs a rest inside of the front of the handguard,
like the original SR-22 has.

See if Dlask still has in stock the short quad rail
and if you like it. It is made for 12.5” aftermarket barrels,
both bull barrel (.920") and SR-22 profile barrels (.750").
Your rifle looks like it has a 16.5” (???) barrel
and she's skinny (.750”), so if that is true,
then I don't think she would look very ###y with a short skirt.

Dlask also makes the barrel support block for .920” barrels
(it is assumed that if you have a SR-22 and want to use a
.750” barrel, then you will reuse
the factory .750” support block that comes with your SR-22.
However, if you need a .750” support block and don't have , then
see if you can buy one on EE from
someone who switched to .920” barrel/barrel-support).

And remember, the Dlask support block for .920" will fit only
the SR-22 original handguard and/or the Dlask short quad rail.

The lock ring would be specific to
the outside thread of the nut.

No, it doesn't.
Some US companies sell the filler piece.

Ask them if they ship to Canada.
I don't know if anybody in here has it in stock.

Yes, you do need a buffer tube for collapsible stocks.
Most of the collapsible stocks come with it, but not all of them.

If your looking for a extension/buffer tube setup with stock for your rifle, keep in mind that you do not need the actual buffer and spring that normally comes with the set up for a standard AR. You may be able to find someone in the EE that can sell you one without the spring and buffer. It will save you a few dollars if you can.

You can email this person snapshots@videotron.ca He/she is the Ruger International service center and also sells OEM parts from what I understand, and can probably get your the gap filler for the trigger guard.

As the Dr. mentioned, Dlask can fill all your need for a new handguard. You can check out their website at dlaskarms dot com. While you are browsing, you can take a look at the other SR22 accessories he sells.

Awesome! Thanks for the info, my rifle already has a Dlask fluted 20" barrel on it but I'm not sure of the diameter, so the Dlask quad rail should work great... only thing is I see they only have the short quad rail, I think that might look goofy with the barrel length I have... I was looking for a 10" rail in the same style (with the connecting top rail).

Definitely going to order that filler piece, $10 + $10 for shipping isn't bad!

Also, need to check the EE for buffer tubes....

thanks guys!!
