When the last batch came onto the market I bought 3. One for me and 2 for buddies. All three shoot huge vertical groups. 20 yards about 7" high.

Groups look like a figure 8.

The barrel chamber end is not a tight fit. If I push down on it with my thumb I can feel it depress a milometer or 2.

I happened to have an aftermarket 9mm barrel on hand. Gunsmith fitted it yesterday and reported it now shoots better. My Norc 1911 45s will group teh black at 20 yards, so i expect the 9mm to be at least as good.

I have never owned a Norc and probably never will. I wouldn't expect a low cost pistol to shoot (group) well but I'm sure there are exceptions. Quality pistols cost money. Quality hand fitted pistols cost even more. Price goes up from there.

StoneHorse, there are different ways to to get a pistol to shoot well. One way is to buy a higher-end pistol and to expect it to shoot out of the box (or at least after a break-in period).

The other way is to buy a cheap pistol and do some tweaking. There is some fun and satisfaction in doing that.

I own a real SIG, a real CZ, a real Colt 1911 and the Norc clones of them. Most of both origins needed trigger jobs. Most needed upgraded sights because I like adjustable sights.

The Norcs shoot as well as the real deal, with a net cost of about half. Until this last batch of Norc 1911 9mms. I suspect the barrel dimensions are a bit off.

This is what I expect from my Norcs. These groups are shot two-handed, un-supported at 20 yards.

This NZ-75 cost me $150 on EE. I have done nothing to it.

Nice pics. Like I said, I'm sure there are exceptions. I personally feel it is false economy to buy a low cost pistol then spend time & money getting it to shoot well and/or add goodies, better sights or whatever. Unless you are doing the work yourself and that is what you want. A good gunsmith costs money and you are waiting for the work to be done.

I rather pay more up front for quality and get exactly what I want. I know lots of guys like to tinker with their pistols and if that is your thing, great.

That said, my CZ shot very well right out of the box. I just added the adjustable sights, so I know what it means to pay more and get more.

Last night I tried another club-members Norc 1911 9mm. It is one of the new batch and it also shot a big figure 8 group. I think Norc has made a bad batch of barrels. Mine slugged out at .357". i tried some ammo in it made with 357" bullets. it shot a little better, but there is still the problem of a loose fitted barrel.

my gunsmith has emailed me to say the new barrel shoots "very well". I have to wait to see what that means.

They aren't all bad, the one i picked up is decent, (on par with your 75) once i threw away the stock mags :D

All in all better than I expected from Ganderites posts.....

My barrel seems to be fairly tight in the bushing and the slide to frame fit is good. The nor-stinko mags blow monkey balls, which means I only have one decent mag...... With the factory mags I had stove pipes, double feeds, FTFeed..... With the Mec-Gear mag I have it was flawless!

Your groups are what I was hoping for - but did not get.

A new barrel has been fitted and my pistol is in the mail back to me. Hope it arrives day after tomorrow. I have ammo ready to test it out.
