Hey guys,

I did some searching but couldn't come up with much for myself. Maybe i'm just looking in all the wrong spots.

Anyways, I got myself a Norc 1911 and wanted to swap parts out on it. Where is the best place here in canada to order them from?

Depends on what you want to change and whether you want to do just a basic upgrade or go full match grade.

A bunch of site sponsors stock various bits and pieces. Armco strips guns and stocks pieces to. Dlask would be a good start for high end stuff.

@ Eliminator_ryan: Why the caution?

I am not looking to go full match grade, I just want some better parts you know? I fully understand they will take some "fitting"

Xtreme has nice stainless 1911 parts. Nice guns too. Oh I know the inevitable comments about their guns based on guns from Philippines or China might come. I have a SAM Omega 6, so that doesn't really trouble me.

It all good, I belong to the range and have held / shot his guns and they are very nice. I have a norinco and 2 sam's (Philippines gun) and they are nice but not to the same quality of an Xtreme gun.

What does he use to make his guns. I heard they start out as Armscor.
They Might be, but looking at everything the quality is very good. We had one side by side with a Kimber and in my opinion it was nicer that the Kimber. I have put his triggers, guide rods, springs and other parts in my gun and they work amazing. I have purchased from brownells before to get some brand name stuff and honestly if you take an Xtreme part and put it side by side with a big name part (Sti, Wilson,Ed Brown) its all looks the same. The best part is you're buying it in Canada and if you're local you can walk in and touch and feel all the stuff before you buy.

That's good enough for me. Thank you.
