Norinco 1911 springs

Hey folks. Just wondering what wolf springs I would need for a direct replacement. I'm not familiar with the differences in the 7-22lb springs.

Any insight?

just get a standard 1911 rebuild kit from them if you feel you need to replace the springs. the only one I've ever had an issue with is the triple spring on the grip safety and disconnector

The Wolff website tells you which are the stock springs for each caliber.

Note that if you replace the three finger spring it WILL require some tweaking. The are simply not a drop in sort of thing. There is an excellent article on the Brownell's site about how to tune each finger. Follow what they say and you'll have a great feeling trigger.

Agreed. But it's common knowledge: 23lb mainspring, 16lb recoil spring. Sear springs are standard and usually require tweaking. Recommend you go with the extra power firing pin return spring (though not necessary). I'm liking the reduced power mag release spring I installed.

It's only common for the .45acp version. Each caliber has a different "factory" spring rating. For example the 9mm 1911 requires a 14lb for stock.

Which is why I suggested the Wolff website because they list the standard springs for each caliber.

Of course for those of us that feel that there IS ONLY ONE proper caliber for a 1911 you are perfectly correct.... :D

Why in god's name would anyone make a 1911 in something other than 5" .45?

jk, BCRider you're absolutely correct.
