Just received a new Norinco 1911A1. The trigger sucks but I'm impressed with the finish. It's not like the old ones. Definately needs some tuning and mods. I'll throw a few boxes thu it stock first of course, then ship it to armco for work. Picked it up from a great cgn guy. Very smooth transaction on ee.:dancingbanana:

got a rinco commander, pretty sweet .45, they have come a long way from the older stuff ive had in the past....... ive had mine done by armco, he will fix up nice.

I think most of the people who knock Norcs haven't seen the newer ones. The last batch of Commanders was really very nice. Definitely have your new 45 worked by Gunnar - it'll come back nice and smooth and tight, with a terrific trigger. Here's something that I've found too - if you polish a Norc with Flitz metal polish the blueing looks absolutely terrific.

I wanted one of the commander models as well, but they sold out just in time for me to miss getting one! Keep your eyes open in here, when they arrive, you'll know. Alternatively, call them every month...when you know, let me know!

I'm actually not much of a fan of the newer Norcs. I much prefer the older parkerizing to the new bluing. Hate to buy a budget pistol and have to get it refinished right away. As for the other updates, I guess they're nice, but wanted a Norc to build it up, so unnecessary in my case.

Norc 1911's

I gotta say I'm happy with my 2nd gen Norc commander and my NP29 9mm. Norcs have come a long way. Will probably get a Armco tuned Norc full size 1911 at some point, just because...

I got a 1911 in the fall of last year , and like it just the way it is im really happy with it and it shoots nice , there are some hanging cylinders at our range for pistols at 50 meters about 6 inch x12 inch and i can hit them consistently , Im thinking i should be pleased with that , although my buddy was playing with my colt woodsman clone and he was also hitting the can with the .22 he liked the woodsman clone so much he burned all my .22 ammo while i was shooting other stuff . it was the first day at the range for a while so we had about 15 assorted rifles guns to clear the cobwebs from .
if it ent broke dont fix it

I had my new nork 1911 out to the range for the first time yesterday. I was impressed with most aspects. We tried three types of load, 185gr jhp, 230gr ball, and 230gr jhp. It seemed to love them all. It pulled a couple of nice groups with the 185's but the trigger is still rough. I've also seen what these guns are capable of with a little tuning and modification. All in all I think that even tho it's chicom it's a well built piece and will provide me with lots of fun at the range, as well as let me retire my very worn 90+ year old 1911. If you can get your hands on one thats new or in gret shape I'd grab it.:D

+1

Do yourselves a favor and buy a nice reliable gun made in Croatia.

:runaway:

Springfield XD

Since it's not that long since some of the people I know were trading rounds with the Croatian military in an attempt to stop war crimes, I think I'll pass.

( I don't know anyone who has traded rounds with the Chinese in the last 20 years)
