Hi I'm kinda new to pistols and I purchesed a 1911a1 and I was looking at getting some more mags will any standard 1911 single stack mag work or do I need to find some norinco ones

Any 1911 mag will work snowman, and probably better than the Norc ones.

Wolverine has a 8 round magazine for $18. From what I read its the same manufacturer that the DLASK mags (which I have in my Norc) come from.

DLASK and Mec-Gar 8-round mags work very well in my Norc 1911.

Actually, Norinco mags generally work well too, if you take the time to dismantle them and clean and polish the interior of the mag body and the sides of the follower.

I use the ACT mags from wolverine and have some from dlask.They are the same and they work great.

I've never had any issues with the 8 Norc G.I. Mags I've got.

Keep them clean and they work just fine.

My Norinco's are kind of...snaggy, and not as nice to load as just about any other 1911 mag I own. They work well enough, there's just better out there is all.

All my Norc mags work great. Bought some Colt mags a couple years back and they are nowhere near as good!

What if you want 7 round mags,that are flush with the bottom of the grip?Any suggestions?
The 8 rnd mags stick out the bottom dont they,or is that just a bumper

Those norc mags are actually pretty slick. I have never had a problem with mine besides being a little rough on the fingers when I load them.

I bought a couple Kimber stainless 7 round mags and they work perfectly.

I run Chip McCormick shooting star 8 round mags in my gold cup 1911. They sit flush in the pistol if you do not install the bumper.
