Norinco .22 K98 and .22 Lever?

Howdy pards - does anyone have any experience with how these Norinco .22s (JW-21 .22 Lever and the 22 KKW Trainer) compare with genuine 9422 and a .22 K98s?

The price sure is right.

In comparison to a real K98, the JW-25 (KKW trainer) is shorter, lighter, and is not quite in proportion to a real K98. Much cheaper and the 5 shot clip is nice though. The Norinco does take a K98 bayonet though

If you look around, you can probably buy a real K98 .22 trainer for less money than the Norinco. Now if you are talking a KKW trainer then it's a different story.
However, it is a single shot and more of a curiosity than a real, usable .22.
The Norinco is a normal repeater .22 done up in a look alike mini K98 stock.
Depends what you want. If you have several .22's then buy a real Mauser. If it's going to be your only .22, the Norinco is more versatile.
And of course, the Norinco will devalue the moment you buy it and will always be a $150 gun.
The real Mauser will appreciate in value.

I have the lever action model. there is a little play in the action where it comes apart. in order for it to feed reliably it has to be held almost perfectly level and cycled with a fair amount of force. when one case fails to eject properly it can fall down inside the action which means you either have to turn the rifle upside down and shake the case out or take the rifle apart. Accuracy wise it is well within the 4 cm group at 50 meters that it is garanteed for.
