How many people have had fail to fire with these rounds.
I know many use this for their Ar15 rifles how many are using
This in a bolt action rifle? The reason i ask i gave my dad a box to
Shoot out of his savage and he had 5 of 20 failures.
There was a strike on the primer but no bang.

Im just curious to others experiences?

The Norinco ammo has a miltary primer, ie the primer is harder...

That is why some folks are reporting problems with it in certain guns, like bolt actions...

I would hazard a guess that the ammo that misfired in your dad's bolt gun would work just fine if you fired it in your AR15.

So, your dad could use the ammo in his gun & if it fails to fire, just save it to run through your AR15. That's what I would do.

Cheers

I ran 40 rounds through a bolt action rifle and had 12 failure to fire. I tried each one of the 12 at least twice and each had a deep, well formed strike mark on it. Definately not the right ammo to put in a bolt gun.

I shot approx 200 rounds through my ar (dmps oracle). 1 didn't go off. I compared the primer strike on that primer to some of the others and it looked the same.
For the price, it's still a great deal.

Close to 1000 rds through my Swissarms with just one FTF. Yellow Box, not the Spam Can stuff. Can't remember if it went off the second time through or not.

^^ :agree:

Just put in in the chamber of an AR and send it downrange, should ignite the primer just fine.

Those hard military style primers will give him inconsistent ignition and resulting accuracy problems with the ammo that does fire.

3 FTF in my PWS MK116 and they were struck hard. So it's just the way it is really. It's military ammo so it's a little tougher to get your bang unless your using a chisel and mallet lol.

It's good ammo though, groups I get with mine are sweet. I'll buy more if I can afford it in the next few months.

yellow and white box's work just fine in my AR's .. few thousand down range with no issue. Unfortunately I don't have a bolt gun chambered in 223 to test your theory.

But its definitely your best bang for the buck plinker ammo.
