for my budget right now about the only AR-15 I could afford to buy right now is the Norinco 311.I would appreciate thoughts from those who have owned or shot them before.how accurate are they and how reliable are they?also would I be able to change the upper receiver with another one down the road?does the rifle accept other AR-15 parts?

Ron - best bet - use the search function.

The older ones had different thread pitches on some parts -- so aftermarket stocks did not fit well with the lower.

You should be able to swap the upper with no issues however.

If you're on a tight budget I know an extra $300 might sound like alot of money, but I've noticed quite a few US made AR15s with half-decent accessories in the exchange forums here on CGN around the $1000 mark. The CQ311s seem to be going for around $650-700 with the same or fewer accessories.

Most people say the norc AR's are quite accurate, and the one i shot was. x2 for cancer tho, if you have the extra 300 bucks you could get a used AR on the exchange.

personally i've shot the 311 and then fired my ar15,theres a noticeable difference,my suggestion,if thats all you can afford then get1,just don't try to convert it into a more expensive ar15,leave it stock.
