Norinco .45 Cleaning question

Hey there, I recently got a semi-auto norinco 1911 .45 pistol from armco in the mail, and have no idea how to clean it. I know how to clean rifles and shotguns, is it the same? I put a box of ammo through it at the range, and I'm not sure how to take this thing apart to clean the bore from the breech.

Is there a manual online somewhere with this info? I can't find it. Anyone with any information would be really helpful, this is my first pistol.
 
Wow. Thanks for those links. I have a Norinco .45 M1911A1C and I have been field stripping it for cleaning by simply holding the slide in the correct position to remove the pin on the side of the gun. I'm not sure how physically different the insides are between the Colt references in the links above, but I think I just found a nicer way to disassemble my gun for cleaning.

As I understand it, the Norinco .45 M1911A1 is copy/replica/etc of the Colt firearm. Meaning that it may or may not be identical inside, and with respect to disassembly. Is that correct, or am I off base with that? Anyone?

The Norinco 1911A1 is exactly the same.............

inside / outside - the parts are the same...

except the 'frame' side bushings on a few 1911's - everything else is the same...
 
So far, yes. I've only put 100 rounds throught it, so I can't hit the target with consistency, and it has a pretty heavy kick, (expected) but as I put more rounds through it, I'm slowly learning better handling and technique, so I'm sure I'll grow to love it.

I`ve had one for about 3 years and about 7-9 thousand rounds, and I have no complaints. Hope you have years of fun with yours. :D

Re: The grip screw bushings....

Are some the same as Mil-Spec and some a metric variant or are ALL Norinco 1911's grip screw bushings a metric variant ?

As a side note.... Is it possible to order consecutive numbered bare frames for the 1911.....

are there different frames for 9mm and .45 ACP ?
