norinco .45 split casing

hey guys, was out testing some hand loads and practicing, when one of the
FACTORY loaded norinco .45s ejected way harder then the others, came straight back and nicked my forehead hard enough to break the skin, and was split about 75%-80% down the length of the casing.

only round to do this to me out of about 2500 norinco .45 that I have shot.


I think I can write this off as a one off, but I would like to hear if anyone else has had this happen to them, with ANY FACTORY load.

spit casing can happen with any ammo, new,surplus, handloads

I've picked up plenty of WW 40 cal once fired that was split.

I had 2 split at a recent IPSC event and both were once fired norinco 45 brass. They did not cause any problems during the shoot but after when picking up brass I noticed 2 that were split. I was the only 45 shooter so I am 99% sure they were from me and they were only reloaded once. I am definately checking all my norinco brass extra carefully here on out.
