Sorry if this has been asked before . I`ve tried searching but nothing comes up . What is the difference between the Norinco red box and the white box ammo ? Seems there is very limited supply of 7.62x39 ammo out there lately . I really hate spending 20 buck on a box of 20 . I am not big on the corrosive stuff .

I think it is just marketing ploy.
I remember when Norinco stuff was in silver boxes some 20 years ago...then yellow boxes came along, then (I think) the white boxes appeared and now they package them in red.

I'm 99.9% confident it is the same stuff, allthough the silver/yellow boxed stiff is widely regarded as being "armour piercing" for what it's worth...

Even if it says Non-C, it's best to clean thoroughly 'cause you can't trust'em. Only the turd will trust Chinese since they own him. SDF, you'll want to buy Mil-surp and learn to clean for the diff is 30c/rnd vs $1. The Norinco Non is about a 50/50 chance of being 'clean'. Buy a case of Chinese to be ready when they come to claim the pot.
