Norinco 762 frame-what slides fit

I wanted to ask people more expert than myself if there is a slide besides the norinco np22,np58 or the norinco 762 that will fit the frame.
since both the 762 and np22/np58 are modeled after the Sig p226 I expect that it's slide fits but it is an old platform-are there newer models of Sig that slides interchange with the p226?

or am I completely off base?

Hopefully I will have my np22 by Feb and can try mix and match for my own curiosity and be able to report back before sinking money in an incompatible slide?

It is possible to make a 9mm barrel for it if you wanted to switch calibers. Used to be pretty much the same cost as buying a new gun before, but now things are a little different?

The reason for my interest is that one of my purchases was a complete frame parts pistol.
Need a slide and since it is reported to be modeled after the p226 I was considering going 9mm or .40 or maybe even.357!
Just might be best to wait until my np22 gets here and try it's slide before spending on Sig parts ?

Won't fit. Tried to mix and match a p226 and np762 before - no go.

I would wait... the chamber is longer, the locking block is different... the current np34 will not accept a sig p229 slide nor an older gen non railed np34 slide or barrel and those are all the same caliber and frame sizes...
 
any one who may have an extra NP762 firing pin or slide assembly available for sale? Mine is broken and now I'm stuck with a usable gun.....
 
yes, it just snapped. I think it's due to poor heat treatment of the pin. BTW, NP22/Sig 226 firing pin won't work.
 
Well I recieved my np 22 today and it's slide fits just fine on my norinco 762 frame.
The magazine doesn't fit but it may just need a,spacer like the 9mm tokarev copy?

Correction,mag will fit too with a spacer behind it.
