Looking for any input as to whether buying the Norinco 780 HS cheap as a truck gun/back up for bow while bear hunting is worth it or if it's just like throwing money away..... I know nothing about them but see a CGN dealer is selling them off for $129 as they have had some problems.. I've got some nice shottys but wanted a cheap one that can be tossed around in the truck...

Any input would be great!!

Here is a thread from black and green shotgun forum

I say get the HP-9 and maybe alonger barrel later if you want...as the hp-9 is compatible with the rem 870 barrels and the homeland isnt ...I just got a hp-9 and I like it

I read something online about some people have had a rail inside the receiver break loose or similar...which would render the gun junk. Apparently the parts don't fit 870 either.

I'm sure there's a good reason they are so cheap.

i agree...thats why I went with the HP-9...moreguns has them for sale new at 270 bucks and the parts are interchangable with the 870

Thanks guys, I just did some searching and read the other thread... I couldn't find anything that was close to positive about these guns.. I want a cheap truck gun but not so bad that I need to worry about it failing
