Did you read what AR180shooter posted? Saiga's are AK's. It doesn't matter if they're on the list or not.

I think it's been tried, can't recall the details just the fact it didn't work out.
Valmets were made by Valmet. The Valmet is specifically exempted.
If you were to make a compatible receiver, and tried to register it, dollars to donuts it would be classified as a prohibited AK variant.

We had some CGN members wanting this gun, so we brought in a crate.
The are pro hib 223- 5.56.
We have been aproched by a film company to bring them in to Canada, it is easy for a film company to buy this gun and point it at other people in the name of entertainment. Wow, and we have trouble using it at the range. What's up with that?
