Norinco AR dust cover pin removal

Hey, just wondering if anyone has removed the dust cover pin from a Norinco CQ-A? It's not like others where there is a c-clamp around one end, instead it's bulged at the end. I think I would need cut it off to replace the dust cover. I imagine using Dremel would be best and if I remove it, can I buy a new pin for it? Can't find em at Brownell's. I know it's just a dust cover but...... Any ideas?

The whole pin slides forward when the barrel nut is removed. The door is installed before the barrel and nut are fastened to the receiver.

Not sure if the pin will slide out the back if the bulge is knocked down.

i just roto tool cut mine off then ordered a new pin and c clip from brownells.

look for the schimatics diogram at brownells for colt or dpms.

if you cant find them PM me i have a set of the pin and clip brand new i will give you if u pay postage.

ebay maybe? as said dremel is your friend with most nork mods. LOL
