older crates of the "white box" Norinco ammo were a bit more prone to hard primers, but if your rifle has a good solid hammer spring, its no problem. Also some of the old stuff in white boxes have been known to have slightly undersize bullets. this sucks as you get crappy accuracy and even some key holing. No real reported problems with the "yellow box" stuff.
Personally, I find it cheap, hot and reliable. I also find it dirty, so you have to clean your rifle more often. I have had one split case(no damage done), and two dud primers in well over a thousand rounds. Probably getting closer to two thousand now. for the price it can't be beat. its cheaper than the steel cased bimetal stuff, its about as hot and about as accurate, but dirtier. And a steady diet of steel case can be bad for your chamber and extractor, and the bimetal jacketing can be harder on your barrel
