I have read what there is on the various websites (ie:marstar) and am curious about this rifle. I'm assuming there are a few owners here on CGN as Marstar sold out pretty fast when they brought them in last. I am set up to reload the 7.62 x 39 so this might be a fun bolt rifle to feed cheap ammo to. So my question is, do you like it, does it function well.... ect ect ect... and any info from guys who have reloaded for this rifle would be cool too. I just might have to start looking for one as marstar won't be restocking anytime soon.

I've heard good and bad and I've been listening for about a year.
Yup bad stuff like Shoots pretty good , descent trigger, but the bolt feels gritty. And some people were dissapointed that it wouldn't shoot cheap ammo less then 2MOA. I'm thinking that for the money it's a pretty good gamble....you might get a winner(2 MOA or less) or you might get a bolt action with SKS performance.(3-5MOA)
Thats with cheap ammo.
Some people thought quality was good others did not. It seems like a Norinco that can be hit or miss out of the box.
I think this rifle could only get better with some home tuning and plan on trying one when the boat gets in.
Looking forward to hearing owners past and present but if you do a search you will probably find a few comments allready posted.
I think Ellwood Eps had one used for Marstar's price and Milarms might have one new for some extra cash.

 They make excellent tent pegs, kinda expensive though............
You always have such valuable input, you bastard  Do you stalk the boards looking for Norinco threads to deface, or do you talk about other stuff as well?

I had one about 3 years ago...was OK for a bush beater rifle, the finish was not that great on the wood, the blueing finish was a bit rough surface wise, and the bolt did have that "grit" feeling to it...the extractor on it was not a very good set up,was a piece of spring steel of sorts and would not grab the spent case...I took it out of the bolt and had to give it a slightbend to get it to grab properly....accuracy was no screaming hell, averaged about 2 inches at 100 yards, that was with cheap ammo mind you.....didn't really like,so I swapped it for something, can't really remember for what though...was about 30 rifles ago

I was going to buy one, but after reading so many mixed reviews, decided not to. I have an SKS (17yrs) with good accuracy, I figured the bolt gun wasn't going to be that more accurate and I'd be better off just getting another case of M43 ammo.:)
