norinco CQ firing pin retaining pin reassembly, how do you do it?

enters the bevel one side, and I cant get it to go out the other side.

Ok... easy reply.

Look through the bolt assembly opposite the bolt. You will see the pin going through. Use a 90 degrees hook or small screwdriver, insert it next to the firing pin, to guide it into the channel.

I assume this is a split cotter pin like any other AR-15? Rotating while inserting helps a lot.

Yea that's what I do. I just turn it while pushing until it goes in.

I find that a drop of lube really helps. Also works for the firing pin retaining pin too.

Some of them are on the tighter-than-normal side.
