Norinco CQ sling

Can anyone explain to me how the Norinco CQ sling attaches to the rifle? For the life of me I cannot figure this out.

Many, many thanks for the advise re. the CQ sling. Although I still do not know what purpose of the sheet metal hook on the "sliding" buckle does. Next burning issue is a scope as my old eyes do not adjust like they used to, what would be a decent scope to stick on top of this thing? I want to not exceed $300 and still have it look military (I priced the ACOG 4X and just about fell off my chair), I also want to shoot this thing at 300M max. Is there any one scope from Marstar that would fit the bill? P.S. I am largely scope illiterate so please keep any replys simple a straight forward. Many thanks in advance.

Gordon, I tossed an Acog clone onto mine, and it's working quite nicely so far. Granted I probably won't be shooting more than a few hundred rounds a year so I'm unsure (and a bit uncaring) about long term durability, but it fits in nicely with the whole Chinese Knockoff theme in any case.

Are the ones at Marstar the same ...I dont think that 1337 tactical is around anymore, I bought an Aimpoint clone from him and it works well..

1337tactical.com is still going, or at least it was a couple of weeks ago when I got the clone from them.
