Norinco CQA .223/5.56 10.5" (Ammo selection help)

So, I bought a Norinco CQA 10.5". Unfortunately, I don't have a membership anywhere yet so I can't do any testing of my own, so I ask for a little bit of personal experiences. BTW, I used the search feature and couldn't really find what I was looking for. I'm running a stock CQA 10.5" with simple cosmetic alterations ie quad rail, optics etc etc. Haven't tweaked any internal parts.

Can anyone tell me if they have ever had any problems running the Remington UMC 55gr FMJ's (Mega Pack) through their Norcs?

Does anybody know of a certain type of ammo to steer clear of for my Norinco? Stuff that causes more problems than normal?

Can anyone give me a heads up on the most reliable brand of ammo?

Based on recommendations i'll be buying about 100 rounds of each top brand to test out, but I want to get a bit of first hand knowledge before buying something cheap that I won't be able to use at all. Since I got the rifle i've broken it down and cleaned it at least once a week to let any carbon sweat out and to get rid of any grease etc etc. It's brand new so any rounds through it have been from the factory during testing.

Buy a case of the norinco 5.56 from CanAm it is cheap and it will work. Your norc should run any modern brass cased .223 or 5.56, in fact I would be pretty confident that it would run the steel cased stuff on the market as well.

Check the extractor to ensure that it's got the correct spring and rubber insert. If it does, your 10.5" Norc will run with just about any type of .223/5.56 ammunition.

I have run the American Eagle bulk 55 grain and MFS 55 grain in mine with no issues.
