Hi all, just bought a new Norinco cqa ar15. Came with a sling, but I can't figure out how to put it together, let alone attach it to my new gun......Sorry, but I could use some help...anybody got one of these?

Do a search. Use advance, set the time to 6 months at least. Review the posts.

Put the sling in the garbage and buy something that works.

Seriously, the Norc sling is crap. Get something better.

LOL! ya i looked at mine for a few days, then threw it out n put an old 3 point sling i had laying around.

Norc Sling Instructions:

1. Remove sling from wrapper
2. Shake head
3. Place sling in fire pit
4. Kill sling with fire
5. Buy decent, functional sling

You must be into Chinese puzzles.

3 point slings are obsolete. They get hung up on your gear and get in the way when immediate actions. Get yourself a Blue Force Gear Vickers or Victory sling. They are adjustable two point slings that allow the rifle or firearm to hang muzzle down on your chest.

I put one points on and never looked back.

Single point slings aren't bad for thing like 3 gun or service rifle if you have a short barrel rifle (SBR in the US).

The problem comes into play when you transition to pistol or have your rifle on you for long periods of time.

For transitions, or movement, a rifle on a single point sling will move around quite a bit, and will also play havoc with you knees and balls, unless you have a good sized chest rig to keep the rifle out away from you.

Also when taking a knee, a single point sling will make sure that your muzzle heads straight for the dirt, unless you are directing it with your hands.

Single point slings have their place, when used with weapons catches, and when you are always holding onto your rifle.

Single point slings are also a pain in the a$$ when you are trying to search through your backpack, load mags or anything else requiring two hands. The rifle really likes to move around and get in the way.

Anyway, on to the Norc or any other 3 point sling, obsolete. Period.

Two point adjustable slings like the Blue Force Gear Vickers slings are the only way to go.

3 Point slings get hung up on your webbing/chest rig/LBV etc. and they also get in the way when you have to do immediate actions (cleaning malfunctions).

The extra strap running along side the rifle has no use what-so-ever.

So in conclusion, toss your Norc sling, and get yourself a BFG Vickers or Victory sling.

We sell it on contract to the RCMP, multiple CF units, and the Dutch for their weapons upgrade program.

It is in use in the US by almost every Tier 1 unit.

Old thread, but still relevant!

Just spent a few hours, seriously hours, trying to figure out this sling, I mean I know i figured it out correctly and the thing still slops and slides up and down, Complete garbage, like I dont even get why they give you this thing! Its an accident waiting to happen if its used in the feild or at ranges even lol

I will be purchasing a Blue Force Gear sling after all the things ive read, I may have to come check out your shop One Shot Tactical :)

I'm with Farmboy, get a good adjustable two point. Overall single points suck for anything longer than 20 inches. They are fantastic for PDWs and SMGs but anything with any real length to it will be a PITA. 3 points don't really do anything better than a two point in my opinion and the third strap just gets in the way as he said.

i think the norinco sling is supposed to be some kind of bastardized 3 point patrol sling.
