I recently bought a Norinco CZ in 40S&W and would like to know if anyone has experience with this pistol. Best ammo choices for this gun? Has anyone replaced the fixed rear sight with an adjustable one? Considering a Norinco 1911 compact model in the future as well. Any comments on this pistol? Also have a Beretta model 76 22LR and looking for spare mags and front sight set.

I have a Norinco 1911 A1 C, and have had it foe 7 or 8 years in .45acp. I love it, after I broke it in I have had no FTF or ejection probs the only thing I have to say is that mine had to have all of the sharp edges cleaned up but the newer ones I have seen look much better. The only thing I would change is I would have bought it in 9MM instead of .45 I am not going to sell it just because of that though.

The only real prob I have for reloading it is getting fair priced brass for it. I hate buying local for it as they try and charge an arm for the brass and by the time I buy it online and pay shipping I am not much better off.

The Norc Compact is a great value for the money, and a great place to start if you're going to learn the guts of a 1911. Gunnar at Armco does a terrific tune up job that's well worth the money, and he can put some sights on that you can actually see. After his tune up the accuracy is improved too.
