So I have picked up a stock DA556 norc rifle 1:9 for dirt cheap. 100% Stock Norinco. 20" A1 config with norc furniture.
I have decided to try and break it. It's my recruit rifle for when I take out new guys to get them hooked on guns.

You heard right! My club is ideal for this, dirt roads, huge muddy nasty irrigation ditches, sand. You name it.
Will be running this thing through the gauntlet of heavy abuse once the thaw/dry happens.
Tests will include but not limited to:
1. physically throwing the rifle down a 30 foot dirt/rock hill
2. burying rifle in sand/dirt with eject port open
3. firing 200 rounds as fast as possible with the rifle bone dry of any lubricant at all/brake clean bath the parts prior to go.
4. full submersion/burial in muddy bottom of irrigation canal then throwing it down 30 foot dirt/rock hill again.
5. chest height straight up drop to the hard pack dirt.
6. dragging rifle down dirt road by a rope
7. tannerite target detonation with rifle set up within 10ft

Every test will end with the rifle being hastily shaken off of debris/mud/sand and then 10 round pistol mag fired to ensure 100% function. Muzzle will be taped to ensure no barrel obstruction (don't care who makes what gun, blocked barrel and round fired equals you're f**ked)

If I could get more 10 round lar mags I would like to put 600 rounds through it in less than 25 minutes but I only have 4 lar mags and two 5 rounders. I may be able to pull this off with a mag b*tch and a mag charger to load them as I blast them off.

Open to any other suggestions! This is going to be awesome. My hypothesis is it will go the distance (from years of abusing Norc AR's) with minimal if no issues.

Stay tuned for unprecedented black rifle abuse!

I would have used a NEA !
But then again I'm sure the Norc will last longer

I would not drop an NEA on the gun bench let alone chest height lol
I have seen NEA barrel nut sprockets pop off around 50 ft lbs on the wrench when lining up the gas tube :D

Hopefully with the mid teens coming the next few days, it should start drying up. Hoping to start beating this thing within a month!

For Sale, Lightly used Ar 15. Safe queen. Bought it for my grandmother to shoot at church socials. Mint condition I promise:evil: Yours truly, Travis Bickle:wave:

Looking forward to the read. Take lots of pictures or better yet, video. Love to see that!

cheers,

I love this thread. Waiting for more results with pictures please.

Going to be videos as well but in these times of soy guzzling anti gun retardation, it may be hard to find a site that will host the vids so I can post them. If anyone knows a way I can bypass this let me know. I'm tech challenged.

In starting planning now I realize I can do some of the abuse tests soon and break the testing up. As in the bone dry/brake clean bath 200 rounds rapid fire, chest height drops, dragging/flinging it around on the ground by para cord, tannerite etc can be done soon.

The burial, muddy submersion, dropping down the dirt hill will have to wait until the thaw.
There will be no cleaning of the rifle in between phases, only re-lubrication after the bone dry test and carry on.

Stay tuned!

Unless you're a big youtuber, your videos won't get targeted nor striked. And you basically can't violate the new rules, being in Canada and all it's restrictive jazz. It's the big US guys that are being attacked.

And a guy trying to break an AR, well, that pretty much is what the left is willing to see about AR's. So you're good.
