Norinco front sights

I have 2 Norinco 1911s both have the dovetail front sights does anybody know if the dove tail is regular 1911 or proprietary, I want put fiberoptic front sights on them and was wondering if I could just buy 1911, would be able to find something to fit or would have to get the dovetails recut any help would be appreciated

Don't mess with them get them recut to a Novak cut and have a wide range of sights available . The Norc cut is from no mans land. If you don't have a mill and dovetail cutter it can be done with a file and a Vernier caliper if you are handy.
