Are they any good? I'm thinking of buying one as a cheap ww2 style 1911 I would be putting rosewood grips on and maybe polishing it so it's smoother but I like the old classic ww2 look

Mine works fine for the price. The grips are plastic and need to be replaced and the metal coating/paint or whatever they used wears off the slide rather quickly but use away and when it gets to ratty give a good cleaning and get it re-blued and it will look better than new.

Spend a few more bucks and get a SAM.....$395 and a much better made pistol.

They're not a high end pistol, but you sure can't beat them for the price.
