I just was wondering what are the general prices for a Chinese Norinco handgun. 9mm, .45 etc. I hear that they shoot pretty great and are on the inexpensive side. So to start out in target shooting I was curious about them since I don't think I could afford a brand new kimber for example.

What 1shot said. They can be a little rough out of the box, but Armco tunes them up to be excellent shooters. Its well worth the extra $$$. People who have handled my 1911A1 can't believe its a Norinco.

Depending on the gun, expect anywhere around the $200 - $400 range. Some shops have a fairly steep markup. Check the sites the guys mentioned and compare prices on what is essentially the same gun.

very good price: $355. GST included in price + shipping for brand new Norinco 1911A1TT
(two tone) hard chrome frame at: "shooterschoice" Arrowwood in AB, ask for Roger !

I am not convinced about the quality of those Norinco pistol! I bought one ( a copy of a tokarev pistol) and it was really a piece of ####. I returned it to Marstar very fast... the pistol had a firing problem and was dangerous to handle.

I never touched a Norinco again...and never will.

like 5 years ago I bought a cheap Nork T54S copy of TT33 and first visit to my range it shoots full auto 7.62x25 (was like a baby PPSH in my hands)
I got it back to Lever Arms and they changed the firing block and then I shot two Czech Mil surplus ammo cases (aprox 5K rnds) and believe me never had a FTE, FTF or any other problems
Sold because was to small for my hands and ammo became scarce in that caliber.
I had Noks in all calibers and model and NEVER had any kind of issues ....maybe only for the QC with rough surfaces and edges....the rest consider money + reliability = a very good investment!
Here is a pic of my brand new batch of "sport model" Nork Commander 1911A1C

You can get a Norinco 1911 in 45 from Armco that Gunnar has gone over for $449. Heck of a deal for that price.Plus 1yr warranty.
