Norinco hp9 sights

Hi guy's just bought a hp9 for a back packer and for bear defence but it is missing the front bead, does anybody know where I can get one that will fit with out taping or should I just epoxy one in, or is there any other sugestions on different sights.

It should be a universal thread, do you have any other beads you can try? IIRC there was somebody selling sight beads in the EE.

my HP9 front site blew off on the 3rd shot, Instead of replacing it, I practiced a bit and shooting became very intuitive once I learned the gun's feel.

Mine blew off the first time out as well. Took it back to the store I bought it from and they said the threads were still good so they put a new one in on the spot, so maybe it's universal. It's been fine ever since.

I believe it is a 3-56 thread, Remington is 6-40 IIRC.

Thank's guy' I guess I will check out the local dealer and see if he has one to try off of a American built gun and see if that work's. I was thinking of trying it with out one just to see if I can hit something, it will basically be just for bear defense anyways, I'm a bow hunter so I thought to and from the bait and when I bait. Any other suggestions on different sights
