Trigun is right. IPSC is an expensive sport, so don't try it and love it if you are poor....... It is not just about a gun, but a lot of ammo and accessories as well.
Having said that, I think the NZ-85B (CZ-75 copy) is a better starter gun for IPSC Production. It is built with a tough steel frame, decent sights, and good accuracy. But trigger pull on all new NZ-85Bs are very heavy, and will need a lot of range time before it smooths out. Of couse a gunsmith can do that for you, too.
You can also use a Norinco NP-29 (9mm 1911), NP-28 (double stack 9mm 1911) or 1911A1 (.45 ACP) in Standard Division. But you will need to upgrade the front and rear sights on the Norinco 1911s. The original sights are too small, and shoots too high.
The problem with buying Norinco 1911s is that you will end up spending more money in the end on the upgrades and gunsmith bills, than just buying a fully equipped 1911 from other brand names.
