There's been a lot of comment in the past on this particular shotgun, some pro and a lot con. Has anybody bought one of these recently (say, within the last 6 months)? How's the overall quality?

With a bit of looking there can be some good used Ithaca Model 37 12 gauge shotguns (in 2 3/4-inch chambers) bought for very reasonable prices.

They are a bit to find, but I got a nice 20 gauge for $290 last year.

It is sweet!

Maybe it would have cost a bit more in the U.S.

I bet you will score more responses if you ask who has sold one recently....
I managed to fix the feeding problem, but could not solve overweight problem...
(Even the first one was not fun at all.) Save your time.

I have one, 19" barrel, chambered for 3", I find if you rack it like a man (put down your purse) the thing works fine, goes bang every time. Shot bird shot (#7), slugs and '00' and '000' through it no issues. I have had maybe one or two FTEs but other than that it is a good, cheap lil camp gun. The gun/sights are accurate enough to hit beer cans at 20-25m, milk jugs at 50-60m with slugs. Sure it's a little rough around the edges, but for every good experience with Norcs, there are several that slander them. It is the only norc I own, but for the price, buy one, try it out and if you don't like it, sell it. Good gun to toss under the seat of your truck and have handy.
