When aiming the "v" part of my rear sight is skewed to the left. I think the spring plate under the rear sight is tilted. Does the rear sight pop off with some force so I can get to the spring plate and bend it straight? Anyone else has this issue with his JW-14?

Had a very similar problem with my Armscor / Squires & Bingham Model 20. Ended up using a receiver sight - works fine now. Also tried her with a scope, again the results were fine.

On my Armscor the problem, I think, was that the rear sight dovetail might have been off on 2 axes - FAIL!

I hate to seem lazy, or trigger happy. Shoot it before you do anything to it. I like seeing crooked sights as much as broken limbs (it just don't look right), but if you can hit what you're aiming at, then let it ride. Not all my fav's look quite right, but they do shoot very well.
