Does anyone own a Norinco JW-25A (K98 look alike)?

My nephew wants one for a birthday coming up but I've never handled one. What is the stock made of and over length? Any reviews? Didn't find anything in the search.

I have one and it is a very nice rifle. [ thanx Marstar ] I got a CZ 10 round [ metal ] mag as my only upgrade. [ thanx Wanstalls ] It will accept the K-98 bayonete and sling [ thanx again Marstar ] Nice fit and finish and worth every penny in my opinion. I would like to put a mount and scope on it in the future. There is a thread on here somewhere of the rifle with the scope combo installed with pics. Mine is a keeper! I do not know what type of wood the stock is made of but it is nicely finished. I believe it is to scale and the same length as a real K-98. I will check it out when I get home and let ya know. I am going to get another today as a matter of fact as the girlfriend thinks it is hers. Meh!

Probably one of the highest quality Norc products I have ever handled.

Wish I picked one up when I had a chance at a good deal on one.

Seems everyone selling them on the EE wants to make a profit these days...

It's basically a norc jw-15 made to look like a mauser 98. I own one, I really like it. Mine has a minor bedding issue that i have yet to resolve. the barrel channel in the stock wasn't fit quite right, so when i have the hanguard and barrel bands on my groups wander a bit. With them off my groups are nice and tight and hit where they should(no wandering). I got mine through CanAm. I picked up a set of 3/8 to weaver rail adaptors for it as the 3/8 dovetail high rings my tasco .22 scope came with weren't high enough to clear the rear sight. CZ 452 mags fit and function flawlessly as the gun is basically a copy of the CZ.
