Norinco JW10A?

Was at my LGS yesterday and came across an odd norinco 22 that I've never seen before. Now, all that being said, 22's are generally not my thing, I'm more of a milsurp guy, however this one has the appearance of more of a military trainer than your standard 22. Also interesting is through a cursory internet search, I couldn't find any pictures or info on this model. If anyone has any info on these I'd love to hear it.

Looks very similar to the JW14 I was eyeing a couple years ago. What reviews I did find weren't favourable.
Although it was selling cheap I passed on it because I couldn't find mags....

Looks the same as the JW14, common marlin 22 mags fit, or you can get Nork ones here.

I just got a used jw-14 off of gunnutz for $150 shipped and I sure do like it. As told the plastic mag was damaged so I bought a nickel plated marlin 10 shot magazine. The rear square portion of the mag was .005” too wide to fit. I put only that portion in my bench vice and squeezed it by the required .005”. That’s all it took and it fits just perfectly now. I also ordered a norinco mag from NRM which arrived cracked at the feed ramp area. They’re sending me a replacement but I’ll never use it. It’ll break sooner or later and the metal marlin mag slides in and out so much smoother.

I cleaned it thoroughly then sighted in the irons and a leupold 2.5x compact scope with 100% reliability so far. Sure liking the German G43 sniper rifle look with that compact scope !!

I had one much like the one pictured, not sure what model it was. I had some funny looking mags that actually fit the rifle. They were normal size where they fit in the well, then blooped out to resemble a larger magazine. I don't recall what rifle they actually came with. The original magazine were pure crap.
