Norinco JW15A 13”??

Anyone have any idea whether we will see these again soon? Looks ideal for what I’m looking to do. Too bad I didn’t jump on them when they were in stock. Don’t come up on ee much either.

Two in the EE now from a quick search, I notice them quite a bit in the rimfire section. Looking at grabbing one but haven’t pulled the trigger yet.

It seems typical of Norinco, that when they’re gone they’re gone.My JW15 A is my go to grouse gun, main criticism is the iron sights but I use a Bushnell 4x rimfire scope and it shoots just fine

Same here, the stock irons were off by a lot, plus the sight radius is too short to be useful. With a low power scope it's a great gun.
The other minor issue is the unavailability of additional magazines without paying way too much for CZ mags that might not work.

One of the reasons I bought a JW15a was because I already have a CZ and a pile of mags for it. Never had any compatibility issues with it at all.

It's a cheap gun I got on sale at a crappy tire up north for $150, bought the cheapest rings, scope, bipod, and sling I could find to slap on it, barely cracked $200 all in (actually, might have still come in under $200)...

and...

It's just a way better, more fun gun than it has any right to be. Well, used to be. My 9 year old daughter has recently laid claim to it, so I never get to shoot it anymore (unless I sneak it out, shhhh... Don't tell my daughter).

I have two, one with a 6x scope and one with a red dot, I use CZ magazines (both metal and polymer) without issue. I actually discarded the 5 round norinco's that came with them in favour of the CZ's.

I wish I could get at least one more 5 round for mine.

They aren't bad rifles, I had one for afew years and sold it last year, as I picked up a Stevens 300F 13" for the same price I paid for the Norinco, The Stevens 300F is better quality. If you can pick up the Norinco on a good deal, I wouldn't hesitate on it.

I had one of these guns for years...sold it about a year ago, and regretted the decision almost instantly. There is a place for for a rough-around-the-edges 22 you don't have to baby, and it's just super handy to be so compact, and decently accurate as well. My "new" one has been a pretty constant companion ever since. :)

They aren’t BRNO (JW15s are knock offs) but they are functional and shoot pretty good and a fraction of the price ,the plastic stocks are better than the soft wood stocks.I hesitated on thumbhole Jean 15 model and the 94/22 knockoff and like most models once gone are not imported any more.About the only thing you can’t do is brag you own a Norinco but other than that they are fine utilitarian shooters

I think that at one point, in the late 1950's that Brno licensed them to the Chinese to make for their domestic market (military trainers, not sporting use).
