I was on the hunt for a pack rifle not too long ago. Several great suggestions were made, including the browning .22LR take down. What passed by my radar was the Norinco copy of this rifle, which can use the browning scope mount if desired.

So, does anyone have one of these? What do you think of them? Aside from the odd blemish on the outside, how accurate and easy to handle it? Is it a viable pack rifle choice? I realize it will weigh more, but thats not a big concern in a pack rifle that will be intended for day use and possible bush camping.

Thanks!

I have one, and it is more reliable than my friends browning, plus more accurate. I found the takedown screw to remove the barrel to be a little looser than the browning version that my friend owns, and I just cannot get it as tight, not that it matters, and it weighs next to nothing. My friend (who has a relatively new to shooting son, has borrowed my jw20 at least a dozen times, as his kids all LOVE IT. The Norinco works great. One of their better copies if you ask me.
