Norinco JW25A side mount? pics

Just received one of these today and I was surprised to see it had some kind of side mount on it, as well as the top mount.

anyone know what kind of scope I could mount on that?

All the other pics I have seen of this gun do not have this kind of side mount.

Some of the newer ones don't have the side mount. It is a non-standard mount and the only mount that works on it is the Norinco mount made for the rifle. They do not sell them separately. I have one and they are quite rare!

edit: Check out this one for sale - no side mount but the stock is still inletted!
