Norinco M-14 Camo stock

What kind of finish is the camo on the syntheic stock from norinco? Looking to buy an M-14 and I love the camo finish, but i'd definately think twice if it was a cheapo finish that would wear off after a few hunting trips.

It's fugly, really fugly. Handled one at epps, would definitely go for the black synthetic stock, or plan on putting some duracoat or krylon on the camo one.

If the paint wears off it shouldn't be too hard to make your own stencils and re-paint it anyway you want. Besides, paint jobs look better after a little wear.

Is this going to be your first M-14? If it is go get one now!!!

We ordered some guns in camo sight unseen and when they arrived we were fairly disappointed as were most customers. We had the remaining guns left in camo stripped and re coated tan and OD green by Barret at Arma-Coat and are selling at $650. We are very happy with his work and the quality of the finish is top notch. Phil.

the camo pattern is painted on.. and its a bad job, it will come off, infact the fellows rifle that i used, it was his first trip out with it and it was already coming off in places

I am experimenting with finishes for the poly stocks and in the new will be able to offer custom camo for not just usgi fiberglass but for poly plastic as well
