I bought it disassembled and I was up 4 hrs last night trying to put it back together. I learned how the laws of physics don't apply to chinese guide rods.

Here is the problem:

I compress the spring and guide rod and the push pin goes down into the piece that keeps the spring compressed. Everything goes back together but when I rack the slide after assembly the push pin in the slide and the bracket that it fits into come falling out. What am I doing wrong?

My M93 is on order right now. But I did find something that might be of some help to you.

Thanks for the clip. I watched that. Thats where I realized that mine should not fall apart like that. I was just wondering if anyone else has had that problem and how they fixed it.

I've taken mine apart multiple times, but can't quite visualize what's happening with yours. Could you post a picture or video?

Do the items actually fall out of the gun? Or just come loose inside?

Have you fully compressed and lodged the long spring in the slide before reassembling? When I tried to reassemble mine, this was the problem: if the spring is not fully compressed and lodged/locked into its guide, you cannot reassemble the slide onto the frame. Try googling "colt woodsman dissembly/reassembly".

Alright, to explain further. My slide is assembled before I put it back on the frame. Looks exactly the same as at 5:21. When he racks the slide at 8:07. At that point the bracket and the pin in the top of the slide fall out of the slide. Does that make sense?

So we're talking about the "takedown pin" and the little leaf spring (that's used to hold down the recoil spring) falls out?
