Can you please tell me,
are those shotguns made in China worthy consideration?

I am looking for something for IPSC and fun plinking not hunting, also, the Norincos are they compatible with a wide variety of 870 accessories like extended mags and saddles without any modification to its body?

I'm not sure about the internals, but from what I have seen the Norinco 870 clones work with any accessory for the Remmy 870.

My Norinco 870 came with a side saddle which I traded for a gunsmith free scope mount that came off a Remmy 870.
I also have a Hough foregrip on it.

No probs. :)

my main concern is reliability.
I am not going to use this grizzly hunting, just IPSC, maybe take with me camping in crown land, that's all.
 
Get the HP9-1 with a 14" bbl.
With this and only this model, you can also use Remington 870 barrels.
BTW, 97% of all aftermarket parts that work on the Remington 870 work on the HP9-1.

Specifically, to be able to employ an extended magazine you will first have to remove two stamped rectangular indentations in the magazine tube near the threads. These indentations serve to secure the "late style" magazine spring retainer.

An expanding reamer may be used to remove these indentations.
If you so desire, you may then employ an older Remington 870, "early" or "intermediate", magazine spring retainer.
 
I love mine. I have tested it extensively and trust it alongside my BRNO 602, Marlin 1895GS and Ruger Super Redhawk .454 Casull for four legged predators.

It is worth your consideration.

I am told these shotguns have not received the latest Remington modification, namely the anti-jam kit. Later-model 870s reportedly have anti-jam cuts, and the Norinco doesn't have it. Wouldn't this be something to take into consideration for grizzly defense?

Also methinks a simple replacement of the bottom ramp for a Remmy version would be an easy fix...or some creative dremel work.

Funny how a $179.00 Mossberg Maverick has a more practical anti jam system then a much more expensive 870. :p
