Sorry about another norinco thread but I never came across much info on this. Anyway my first pistol was the NP-22 and have bought the Blazer ammo to start. Shoots extremely reliable without one issue in 150-200 rounds fired thus far. I am a new handgun shooter so trying to figure out if ammo, shooter or gun is the weak point here is not clear. Anyone have an accurate combination of load for there NP-22 factory or otherwise? I don't reload for it yet but likely at some point. Not sure what is considered a good group for a handgun either.

The most accurate ammo you can use is the round that is in the chamber when you pull the trigger. With hand guns, accuracy is 90% shooter and 10% equipment. Loading for 9mm allows me to shot for about 12 or 13 cents less per round. I can load budget 9mm for 16 cents per round (not counting brass) or I can buy 9mm in bulk for about 27 cents per round. Some say it isn't worth it...some say it is...for me it is worth it as I have enough brass that I can do enough loading during the cold winter evenings to cover me for the summer shooting season. I can load about 200 rounds per hr on my turret press....so about 13 cents/rd x 200 rds/hr = 26$/hr

I never shot factory ammo in my NP22. I reload. My pistol shot 124s and 147s very accurately.
As for accuracy, if I can produce a 6" group at 25 yards I'm happy. Sometimes I can do better. I know my NP22 can do better because I bench rested it. At 10 to 15 yards, a good group for me is under 3".
I agree with Ramzzz when he said accuracy is 90% shooter related. I know what I can do but I can't always do it.

I would say I'm on Par with the group. Freehand at 25 I can usually achieve 5" pretty constantly. I Did manage to get my sig 1911 22 down to 2-3" but with lots more rounds fired. Used to half inch rifle groups being the norm so it is just a much different ball game.
I have a NZ85, shoots everything well. If you are going to reload Blazer Brass is a good way to go; if you are not going to reload, Bulls Eye in London has this stuff on for 12.99 a box if you buy 1000 rounds. The NZ loves it too! Way cleaner than Winchester USA Forged, and zero feeding issues.

I started into handguns from rifles also. It took a while to be happy with my results because I was used to 1 moa and under. Once I figured out that hand gun accuracy was very different I really started to enjoy it a lot more.

I’ve put over 1000 rounds through my NP22, both Barnaul and Sellier & Bellot, and it’s pretty much the same for me. Unless you’re a Bullseye shooter you probably won’t notice a difference.
If you're getting those results then you're already shooting better than at least half the handgun shooters out there. And likely you're into the upper 1/3. Every once in awhile I come across folks that can consistently shoot free standing 2 to 3" groups or better at 25yds consistently. But they are more rare than you think.
And your 1/2" rifle groups? Are you shooting them from free standing as well? Likely not... So it's apples and oranges.
