I would like to get my Norinco NP 22 tuned. I want to get a smoother trigger, less poundage with DA/SA, bring it closer in line with Sig P226 specs. Any recommendations on who can do this kind of work? Should my local gun dealers be able to get something like this done? Is it really worth it? Thanks!

Armco in BC is know for norinco work, I have never had anything done by them but I had enquired about a tuned norinco a while ago which I may still go for.
I am sure someone more familiar with their work would be a better spokesperson than I can be.

Personally I would chat with my local gunsmith before I shipped my pistol from Ontario to BC but that's me...

I have a few of Norincos m93, np22 nz85b and have found that the trigger smooths out after 500 to 1000 rounds, but I am more of a plinker than a precision or competition shooter.

Cheers

Dropping in a lighter spring helps a lot. Not too hard to do.

Wolff springs has 'em. Probably others too.

Armco has a good rep on the boards for their work but are sometimes thought to be slow. Most any smith should be able to do a smooth and tune. Depends on where you are.

I bought the SRT kit for my NP-22 and it really makes the SA on it sooooooo much nicer to shoot with. As for the DA pull I think if you drop in a lighter hammer spring like Arloashean said you should be good to go.

I'm still mulling over if I want to get a spring kit to reduce the DA pull because I mostly shoot mine in SA mode anyways. It's put in SA mode when I do an admin reload to start the range session and then it's still in SA when I drop the slide on a new mag so the times when I'll actually shoot it in DA is practically never.
