Hello folks,

One of my bushings came out of the frame when swapping grip panels of my Norinco NP-29 (9mm 1911). Does anyone know what the thread size/pitch of the outer circumference of the bushing that goes into the frame is? I want to run a die over the threads and clean them up if possible.

Thanks in advance,
HD

It is metric. I think the only part of the pistol that is not original Colt 1911.

They sell bushings that come with the correct Colt tap to re-do the holes.

I was hoping to just clean up the threads a bit before going to an oversized bushing & tap kit (well over $100).

If you cannot find a metric tap for the Norinco bushing and don't want to replace them with non metric ( standard ) grip screw bushings
then I would suggest putting the Norc bushing bushing back in but use some loctite.
I did this years ago & it is still holding.
