Norinco NP-29 'Government' 9x19mm

Great. Loved it. Sold it in a moment of weakness... wish I had it back! :)

It's a sweet gun for the price. Beavertail, extended slide stop and safety, commander hammer... all waaaay too pricey to add after, IMHO.

Pretty good shooter too.

If you are looking for good as in reliable and hiccup free look for used pistols from any major manufacturer (Beretta,Sig,CZ,Glock,Springfield...). You will not regret it. Any thread dealing with norinco pistols usually leads to a trip to the gun smith.

I like my NP-29 a lot, enough that I'm going to buy another and re-barrel it to 9X23...

They are very tough pistols, although the finish is not as pretty as that on my commercial Colts, it is as good as on the original Colt USGI 1943 pistol that I also own. it is after all built to USGI specs, and the parts will interchange with other 1911's (except the grip screw bushings).

This relates to the 1911 variants from Norinco only, as I have no experience with other Norinco pistols.

2 cents Eh!

giver, i've got the 1911 gov't model, and others locally here in manitoba have enjoyed theirs too.

I loved mine... I miss it and I'm buying another as soon as Marstar gets them in again. I even won some matches with this NP29. Dead nuts accurate and easy to shoot. I regret selling this pistol.....
