I'm considering getting one of these from Marstar (1911 style .45 hi-cap) and am wondering if theres anything about them I should know before ordering (specifically if anyone has had problems with them). I've read lots about the Norc 1911's in general but not much about this model.

Any input is appreciated!

The one thing I've heard about them that would keep me away is that they'll only take norinco mags (which aparently suck) and you only get 10 rounds anyway, over 7 or 8 from the single stack 1911s. That's enough to keep me away

I like mine, it is an accurate, nicely finished pistol...but yes the mags are proprietary and kinda ####ty. I have never have a feed problem, but after so much use, a couple of them are a little swollen from fatique when fully loaded and are therefor a little tight in the magwell. But the pistol is great, the extended and ambi controls are nice.

Go For a Single Stack 1911...

+1

Go for a single stack Norc if you must have one. Then at least you can get yourself some good quality after-market mags. Hell, you can even get single stack 10 rounder's which IMHO kicks the sh*t out of the hi-cap double stack 1911 BS...:p
