80% of the time when i shoot my norinco np22 in 9mm the magazine plate will start to come off and ill have to put it back on, i've tried crimping the sides and hammering it down but it still continues to fly off. They happen with both of the magazines that game with the gun. So its not just the one mag. Is there a fix for this or just bad magazine deisgn?

In the middle of the mag base plate there should be a small hole.
Attached to the bottom of the mag spring, there should be a metal plate that has a
small protrusion/nub in the middle of it.
When you slide the mag base plate on, that nub should go into the hole into the base plate
and keep it tight.
Simple but effective. The base plate should not move.

I've checked and its the correct way, its just that the little metal stub that protrudes out of the whole on the base plate must not be long enough to retain the plate

Is the gun new to you?
Is it possible someone trimmed the spring to make it easier to load the mags?

That is a possibility as there needs to be tension to lock the 2 parts together.
Or perhaps something needs to be reshaped .
At least you know where the problem is and just need to find a solution.

I have never run into that, how about taking it apart and use a punch and drive the stud down more?
Or another rivet, that is a april fools joke, day late, but better than all your ammo at your feet.
